Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Sentinel Discord bot (the “Bot”), of the website at sentineldashboard.site (the “Website”) and of the related features described on it, including the optional Discord login and the server verification page (together, the “Service”).

By adding the Bot to a server, running one of its commands, interacting with one of its panels or buttons, logging in or verifying through the Website, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a community, you confirm that you are allowed to accept the Terms for that community. If you do not agree, do not use the Service and remove the Bot from your server.

These Terms should be read together with the Privacy Policy, which explains how personal data is handled.

• Operator: the person who runs Sentinel, identified in the “Who operates Sentinel” section below.
• Server: a Discord server (guild) in which the Bot is present.
• Administrator: a person who owns a Server or holds permissions allowing them to add, configure or remove the Bot there.
• Member: any person who is in a Server where the Bot is present, or who interacts with the Bot, whether or not they are an Administrator.
• Module: a group of features of the Bot, such as moderation, AutoMod, AntiNuke, verification, tickets, music, leveling, economy, giveaways, backups or Flow.
• You: the person using the Service.

Sentinel is operated by an individual who goes by zxdac_ (also known as zodiak), acting in a non-professional capacity, based in France. The co-creator is Tryzx (@tryzx14).

Sentinel is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord Inc.

You must comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, including Discord’s minimum age requirement. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, or older if the law where you live sets a higher age for using online services. If you are below the age at which you can validly agree to these Terms by yourself, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf.

To add or configure the Bot you must be an Administrator with the authority to do so for that Server. You must not use the Service if you have been banned from using it or if the law prohibits you from doing so.

Sentinel is a free, general-purpose Discord bot. Depending on the Modules a Server enables, it provides moderation tools, automated moderation (AutoMod), protection against mass destructive actions (AntiNuke), a verification gate, welcome and goodbye messages, tickets with transcripts, temporary voice rooms, music playback, leveling, an economy, giveaways, reaction roles, server backups and snapshots, announcements, social notifications, a workflow engine (Flow), information and lookup commands, AI-assisted commands, and fun commands. The Website documents these features, lists the commands and offers an optional Discord login and a verification page.

The list of features is informative and not a commitment: the Service is provided as it exists at a given time. There is currently no paid plan. Nothing on the Website is for sale, and nobody is authorised to sell “Sentinel Premium” or any similar product.

The Operator may add, change, restrict or remove features, commands, Modules or the whole Service at any time, with or without notice. The Bot is updated regularly, and an update can temporarily disable some functionality while it is deployed or fixed.

The Service depends on infrastructure and third parties that the Operator does not control (Discord, the hosting provider, Cloudflare, GitHub, music nodes, AI providers and other services). It may be slow, interrupted, rate-limited or unavailable, planned or not. Data stored by the Bot is not deleted as part of normal maintenance, but you should not treat the Service as your only copy of anything important.

The Website is informational and can be used without an account. If you choose “Login with Discord”, the Website asks Discord for your identity (scopes identify and guilds) to show you the servers you manage and where Sentinel is present. The Website cannot change your Discord account or your servers, and server settings are still changed from inside Discord with Sentinel’s commands. You can log out at any time, and you can revoke access in Discord under User Settings → Authorized Apps.

You must not attempt to access the login or verification service in an unauthorised way, to bypass its checks, to overload it, or to read data that is not yours.

Administrators decide which Modules are enabled, how they are configured, and who on their staff can use them. They are responsible for:

• configuring the Bot lawfully and in line with Discord’s rules and the rules of their community;
• informing their Members, where the law requires it, about moderation, logging, verification, tickets, transcripts, statistics, leveling and any other processing of Members’ data that they enable;
• the actions taken by their staff and by automations they configure (AutoMod, AntiNuke, Flow, giveaways, role assignments, lockdowns, restores);
• keeping the Bot’s role and permissions appropriate, and removing the Bot if they no longer want it.

The Operator provides tools; the Administrator decides how they are used in their community.

If you are a Member of a Server that uses Sentinel, the Administrators and staff of that Server decide how the Bot treats you there. The Operator does not moderate Servers on their behalf. Questions or complaints about a moderation decision, a ban, a warning, a ticket or a giveaway should be addressed to that Server’s staff first.

You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:

• break the law, Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, or the rights of others, through the Service;
• harass, threaten, stalk, dox, impersonate or discriminate against people, or use the Service to spam, scam, phish or distribute malware;
• use lookup or information commands (including OSINT-style tools) to collect, compile or expose personal information about a person who has not authorised it, or for any unlawful, abusive or intrusive purpose;
• use the Bot to target minors in any harmful way, or to host, share or request sexual content involving minors;
• attempt to break, probe, overload, reverse-engineer for abusive purposes, or gain unauthorised access to the Bot, its infrastructure, its data or the Website’s login and verification services;
• bypass or manipulate permission checks, cooldowns, limits, verification, giveaway or economy rules, for example with multiple accounts, scripts or exploits;
• use the Bot as part of a raid, a nuke or any attack on a server, or use AntiNuke, backups or restore tools on a server you have no right to manage;
• resell, sublicense or present the Service as your own, or run a copy of it under the Sentinel name.

Moderation, AutoMod and AntiNuke

These Modules can delete messages, time out, kick or ban members, change roles, lock channels or the whole server, and restore deleted structure. Detection is automatic and can be wrong (false positives and false negatives). Administrators must test their configuration (for example in monitor mode) and are responsible for the resulting actions. No protective feature guarantees that an attack or abuse will be stopped.

Verification

The verification gate can require members to confirm their identity as a Discord account through the Website, optionally applying checks such as minimum account age or minimum time in the server, and then assigns a role. Verification is not proof of a person’s real identity, age or good intent, and Administrators must not rely on it as such.

Tickets and transcripts

Tickets can generate transcripts containing the messages exchanged in them. Anyone opening a ticket should assume that the Server’s staff can read it and that a transcript may be kept by the Server. Do not share secrets, passwords or payment details in tickets.

Music

Music playback relies on third-party music nodes and sources. You are responsible for having the right to play the content you request in your community, and the Operator does not host or license any music. Availability depends on third parties.

AI-assisted features

Some commands send your input to third-party AI or image-generation providers. Output may be inaccurate, offensive or unsuitable, and must not be relied on for legal, medical, financial or safety decisions. Do not submit sensitive personal data. AI-generated server structures or images are suggestions that Administrators must review.

Lookup and information commands

These commands query public sources. Results can be incomplete or wrong. You are solely responsible for how you use them and for complying with the law (including data-protection law) when you do.

Leveling, economy, giveaways and games

Experience points, currencies, items, ranks, badges and similar elements are virtual, have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money and may be changed or reset at any time. Giveaways are organised by Servers, not by the Operator; the organiser is responsible for the prize, the rules, the legality of the giveaway where they live, and delivering the prize. Discord is not a sponsor of any giveaway.

Backups, snapshots and restores

Backup and restore tools can create, replace or delete roles, channels and settings. Use them carefully and keep your own record of anything critical. A restore may not reproduce messages, members, integrations or every setting.

Notifications and automations

Notifications depend on external platforms that can change, throttle or block access without notice. Flow and other automations execute exactly what an Administrator configures; the Administrator is responsible for their effects.

Some Modules act without a human in the loop, for example by deleting a message, timing out a member or locking a server when a configured threshold is reached. These actions are configured and activated by Server Administrators, who are responsible for them. If you believe an automated action taken against you was a mistake, contact the staff of the Server concerned. You may also write to the Operator, who can explain how the Bot behaved but cannot reverse decisions made by a Server.

You keep all rights in the content you submit (messages, ticket texts, images, configuration, names, and so on). To run the Service, you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, for as long as needed to provide the Service, to store, process, display, transmit and back up that content solely for operating, securing, supporting and improving the Service as described in the Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit it and that doing so does not infringe the law or the rights of others.

The Bot’s code, the Website’s design and texts, the Sentinel name and logo and the documentation belong to their respective authors. Except where a separate licence is stated, all rights are reserved. These Terms give you a personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service, not ownership of any part of it. “Discord” and its logos are trademarks of Discord Inc.; other names belong to their owners.

The Service uses or links to third parties, such as Discord, the hosting provider, Cloudflare, GitHub, music nodes, AI and image providers, and public data services listed in the Privacy Policy. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. The Operator does not control and is not responsible for their availability, content, practices or changes.

How personal data is collected, used, shared and protected is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. To exercise your data rights, write to [email protected].

To report a security problem, abuse of the Bot, or content that infringes your rights, write to [email protected] or open a ticket on the support server. Please include what happened, the Server and users involved (with Discord IDs if you can), dates, and screenshots. For a copyright concern, also identify the work, where it appears and why you are the rights holder or their representative. For a security vulnerability, please do not publish details before the Operator has had a reasonable time to fix it.

Never send passwords, bot tokens or API keys. The Operator will never ask for them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, free of charge, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, security, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that it will meet your needs. Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty that the law of your country does not allow to be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, reputation, community members or opportunities, arising from the use of or inability to use the Service, including from actions such as bans, kicks, deletions, lockdowns, role changes, backups or restores performed through the Bot, from decisions of Server Administrators, or from the acts of third parties.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, such as liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights that the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you.

You are responsible for your use of the Service and for what you configure, post, request or do with it. If your use breaks these Terms or the law and causes loss to the Operator or a third party, you remain answerable for it to the extent permitted by law.

The Operator may restrict, suspend or end access to the Service for a user or a Server, and may make the Bot leave a Server, at any time and without prior notice, in particular for breach of these Terms, abuse, a security risk, legal requirement or technical reasons. You can stop using the Service at any time by removing the Bot from your Server and logging out of the Website.

Ending your use does not by itself erase stored data; see the Privacy Policy for how to request deletion. Sections that by nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, no warranty, limitation of liability and governing law) continue to apply.

The Terms may be updated, for example when features or the law change. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of this page, and material changes may also be announced on the support server. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not, stop using the Service.

If a provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the others remain in force. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and the Operator about the Service. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; the Operator may transfer them to a successor of the Service.

These Terms are governed by French law, without affecting the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Before any legal action, please contact the Operator so the matter can be solved amicably. Failing that, the competent French courts have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rule that lets a consumer bring a case before the courts of their country of residence.

These Terms are provided in English and French. If the two versions differ, the French version prevails.
